The Meatrix

                                                  How Animals live in  Farms

The meatrix is all around each animal. It shows how animals live in farms, their conditions, what they eat, and everything that happen around animals and also it shows the real world of animal and their suffering at farms.

People at farm put all the animal together withouth thinking  that the animals are lack of space and that they cannot walk and run a little be.

This is a good example of how thousands of animals are loked one by one and with no space around them.

Lot of babies animals are separated from their mothers since they born. They are not feeded by their mothers because the farmers provide the type of aliment that are covinient for the farmers.

This picture is another good example  of the animals conditions. this is how they live at farms and how their are treated. They are durty, without a small clean place were they can sit or rest when they want.

Personally, I think that this is not the way that animals should live in farms, they should have better conditions of life, good feeding, and more space were they can do what they want.

Green Week

National Green Week is a campaign that occurs during the first week in February every year in the United States, to teach school children about recycling, reusing, and reducing waste and other ways to advocate for the environment.

Our world would be better if all of us contribute every day  to help the enviroment.

the environment is one of the most important things we have in life so we have to care as much as we can in order to have a green world.

Problems with Teenagers Working

The majority of teenagers in United States work and study at the same time. Lot of them do not have enough money to support their studies and started to work early just to pay for it. There are a lot of reasons of why teenagers works in United States without thinking about the consequences that it could bring to college.
In United States some of teenagers depend of their works. Some of them do not live with their parents and they have to work to obtain what they want in life such as a good Carrier. Other reason of why teenagers work is that college is too expensiveve and many of us are not elegible to obtain important benefist that the States offer to students like Financial Aid because of any reason. In other hand it is not good to work and study at the same time because most of students don not have time to rest and also they do not dedicate time to college just thinking about work to pay their bills.
It is important to have a job to support our needs but we should always think about what we are going to do in the future with our lifes. Besides we should spend more time at college instead of working every day.

Matin Luther King a Symbol of Uited States

I consider Martin Luther King Jr a Symbol of United States

Martin Luther King Jr was born January 15, 1929-April 4, 1968. Michael Luther King, Jr., but later had his name changed to Martin. His grandfather began the family's long tenure as pastors of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, serving from 1914 to 1931; his father has served from then until the present, and from 1960 until his death Martin Luther acted as co-pastor.

Martin Luther attended segregated public schools in Georgia, graduating from high school at the age of fifteen; he received the B. A. degree in 1948 from Morehouse College, a distinguished Negro institution of Atlanta from which both his father and grandfather had graduated. After three years of theological study at Crozer Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania where he was elected president of a predominantly white senior class, he was awarded the B.D. in 1951.

In 1954, Martin Luther King became pastor of the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama. Always a strong worker for civil rights for members of his race, King was, by this time, a member of the executive committee of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, the leading organization of its kind in the nation. He was ready, then, early in December, 1955, to accept the leadership of the first great Negro nonviolent demonstration of contemporary times in the United States, the bus boycott described by Gunnar Jahn in his presentation speech in honor of the laureate.

In the eleven-year period between 1957 and 1968,he led a massive protest in Birmingham, Alabama, that caught the attention of the entire world, providing what he called a coalition of conscience and inspiring his "Letter from a Birmingham Jail", a manifesto of the Negro revolution; he planned the drives in Alabama for the registration of Negroes as voters; he directed the peaceful march on Washington, D.C., of 250,000 people to whom he delivered his address, "l Have a Dream", he conferred with President John F. Kennedy and campaigned for President Lyndon B. Johnson; he was arrested upwards of twenty times and assaulted at least four times; he was awarded five honorary degrees; was named Man of the Year by Time magazine in 1963; and became not only the symbolic leader of American blacks but also a world figure.

At the age of thirty-five, Martin Luther King, Jr., was the youngest man to have received the Nobel Peace Prize. When notified of his selection, he announced that he would turn over the prize money of $54,123 to the furtherance of the civil rights movement.

I choose Martin Luther King Jr as a symbol of United States because of his desire, and hard  work towards civil rights movements. Martin Luther King Jr. fought racism and segregation in a non  violence way. Although he did not achieve his dreams completly before his death, because of him many other freedom fighters worked with no fear against segregation.

My Language Learner Identity

There are a lot of language that I would like to learn  like Freanch and Portugase, but the only one that I have learned is English. I think that English is the hardest language for me to learn, because of the pronutiation of the language, writing and reading. For me, everything is totally different as other language. My native language is Spanish. I would be comfortable if all of my works such as reading, writing and speaking were in my native language. Moreover, I prefer to read  novels in the classroom, because that way I can share different opinions and ideas and discuss what is happening in the novel with my classmate. I enjoy more to read books and magazines than read in the internet, because in the internet I get bored easily. Personally, I like Facebook better than other social networks, because in Facebook I can keep in touch with my freinds and family. Also in Facebook I can share photos and videos.
I think that my writing abilibity in English is not so bad as I though. My writing is getting stonger every day, thanks to my efforts and to all of professors. As other people, I prefer to send e-mail messages  than write letters to my family and friends because is faster and easy for me. I prefer to write my academic things such as essay, lab and other in Spanish because everything will be easier for me and also because I have more ideas in Spanish than in English.
